I leaned into you For many years. Breathing so much easier With your smell in the air.
You leaned into Me too. And grace visited, Easily and often. Then— We fell. Not quickly. Gradual Erosions. Family. Trauma. History. Loss. Our life became Tumultuous. Too hard to hold one another In high waves. Both fully committed To love—in service to spirit. Freedom was the most Loving choice.
Now, I find myself leaning Into a reflection—
I must steady myself And swim. Lean into and trust The water. Remember what our loving has Taught me. Love opens the space To return to grace. I have to make the Invitation— Let my grief be Her Doorway. Surrender. Open my heart to Love again. Wait. Wait. Wait. Steady my Wings. She is arriving.
