Out of Boxes

Acclimating to power.

What kind of events
Take us to our edges,

Make us reconsider
Our unconscious pledges?

Is pain the best spark,
To question what we know?

Do we revert to familiar,
And choose not to grow?

Maybe it's the lulls—
Empty times in between,

When our brains have no solution,
That the truths can be seen?

Should we keep calm and carry on,
Holding our faith banner high?

Or give up, leave the space,
And decide not to try?

What about when none of the 
Choices feel right?

We want out of our boxes,
And do not wish to fight.
