Judgement and Joy
Love, Joy, and Tea.
Once there was a little girl who loved rivers, flowers, animals, and the feeling of running barefoot through the world.
Most days she felt free.
Sometimes she scraped her knees or fought with her brother, but the hurt passed quickly and life returned to play.
Then one day, someone new arrived.
Her name was Judgement.
Judgement had a strange way of moving through the world. She seemed most comfortable when someone else felt small.
The little girl did not understand this, but she could feel it.
And because she loved harmony, she began trying to make Judgement happy.
At first, this meant allowing small hurts:
a sharp word,
a cruel joke,
a poke at her soft places.
The little girl noticed something confusing:
when she absorbed the hurt quietly, Judgement relaxed.
And since the little girl knew she was just playing a game, she decided she could survive the pain if it helped restore peace.
So she adapted.
