Chakra 4: Connect
Last week we were in float, with the merging of busy energies in a process of healing. I hope you were able to keep your balance. This week we move into a heart chakra focus, so reach out! Call and connect with the people you care about. It is through our hearts that we will find our paths to evolve and grow together. The map this week is four lines, with the eye of an octopus looking through.
This map brings the significance of the numbers four—foundation and angelic support, and 8—will, ambition, material success and prosperity. I also see the eight as a time of stillness and rest that follows an often disruptive, cycle. The lines on the map are a balance of expression, evolution, resilience, and groundedness. They feel a bit like a veil opening from the other side, with a sense of us, as the witness, being observed more than observing. The octopus is looking through the veil, with a demanding-of-the-sacred pupil, eye in the power color, and programming tools and feisty-love-in-action energies on its body. The octopus has a variety of qualities to admire. Octopus anatomy: The octopus has only a third of its brain in its “head,” two thirds of its brain is spread across a vast network through its tentacles. Each tentacle is thereby able to act completely independently, offering split second changes at great speed. The octopus has three hearts. One systemic heart (which is still while the octopus is swimming) and two branchial hearts. There are few animals better at camouflage.
The Octopus totem is about this creature’s intelligence, adaptability, and resourcefulness. There is also an emphasis on renewal and letting go of the old to focus on new growth and regeneration. Octopus energy brings transformation, clairvoyance, and the space of transition to the spirit world. I hope you take a moment to connect with this energy and feel what it means for you. See you next week!
