Do-Si-Do
Dancing outside the assumptions we inherit.
Gather around, humans— Join in. Play along. This dance helps us decenter The stories gone wrong. Fat, thin, old, or young, Black, brown, or light skin— Get into a circle. And then we’ll begin. Find the person across the Circle from you. The furthest away, The widest the view. They can see all around you, The things you can't see. In this dance, the floor’s even. So it's safe just to BE. That person—most distant Is your dance partner now. Do-si-do and then Give them a bow. Do you know their past— Their sorrow or their pride? Can you tell who they are From only the outside? Put down expectations. Open ears and your heart. This dance goes by quickly, And it requires your part. Can your partner stand up? Do they know how to dance? Poor, rich, cis, or trans— We can all take a chance. Ten steps to the middle. Grab their hand—promenade. Show off their beauty, Even if you're afraid. Then join hands together. Around-the-world we go, Returning back home With a new way to know. Bow again to your partner, then Do-si-do. Ten steps to the outside and it’s Time to let go. Then switch places with the person Standing to your side, Find your new partner Across the divide. Keep dancing and showing The beauty in all. It's more fun to keep playing When no one's feeling small.
Ready to dance from a new perspective? This weekend, we'll explore the wisdom of the 5th, 6th, and 7th Chakra Centers—learning how to speak our truth, trust our intuition, and open to a broader view of ourselves and the world around us. In Where Wisdom Awakens, we'll take a somatic journey through: Throat Chakra — Authentic expression, truth, manifesting and the courage to be heard. Third Eye Chakra — Intuition, insight, and seeing beyond old stories and assumptions. Crown Chakra — Connection, meaning, and remembering that we are part of something larger than ourselves. Join Dr. Wallace and Dr. Isabel for an experiential online immersion filled with teaching, reflection, practices, and community. Sometimes the next step isn't trying harder. Sometimes it's finding a new place in the circle. Where Wisdom Awakens June 6, 2026 Live Online We'd love to have you with us. [Learn More]
